Winnipeg Jets Announce First Cuts

The Winnipeg Jets announced Monday that they have re-assigned the following 10 players from training camp.

The Winnipeg Jets are now down to 48 players after 10 cuts were made on Monday afternoon. Players will report to the following teams where indicated:

Goaltender Eric Comrie, among the 10 players cut Monday by the Winnipeg Jets.

Axel Blomqvist – Lethbridge (WHL)

Eric Comrie – Tri-City (WHL)

Jan Kostalek – Rimouski (QMJHL)

Jimmy Lodge – Saginaw (OHL)

Lukas Sutter – Red Deer (WHL)

Mitchell Theoret – Barrie (OHL)

Nic Petan – Portland (WHL)

Ryan Olsen – Kelowna (WHL)

Scott Kosmachuk – Guelph (OHL)

Zach Bell – St. John’s (AHL)

This Winnipeg Jets take on the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow evening.  It is expected that Ondrej Pavelec will be in the crease for the Jets, his first start this pre-season.
